Be YOUnique


Just to begin with this is my 50th blog post! It’s safe to say I have come a long way since February and a lot of things have happened since then but nevertheless I’m glad that I decided to post my first blog and couldn’t be happier with that decision. Without further ado, I shall carry on with my usual blog.

I’ve been thinking recently about this topic and thought about when I was younger, I do have to admit I think I did try to fit in with everybody else but soon after time it came to me that I didn’t have to pretend to be someone else because I knew other people that were like me and I’m glad I came out of my shell because I found a great group of friends once I started acting like my true self.

I guess you could use my experience if you think you are trying to fit in but you know it’s not going to work. After all, someone will suss you out, you might as well break free now instead of people thinking you are a fake person etc. If you do decide to, there will be someone there, that’ll accept you for you and eventually once you find a group of friends, you’ll be glad that you made this decision. Hopefully, other people will see that this is working so they will decide to do the same and you never know you may inspire someone else to do the same thing.

Personally, I don’t understand why some people want to do act like some they aren’t because you spend time being someone you aren’t, having to like things you might actually despise, the list goes on. Society tells us to be ourselves, yet when we come out with our true personalities and likes, we are judged. Don’t be scared to be yourself, even if you think no one will like you, sooner or later you will find someone that will appreciate you for YOU. People around you might be also thinking about this, whether to be themselves or not, if they do then the best thing to do is to show that you respect them because you’d want the same if you were in that situation.

I”m glad to say that I’ve got a good group of friends that have helped me through everything recently. You want to find friends that’ll help you too because they could help you later in life when least expected. To all my friends that are reading, you know who you are and I thank you for everything that you have done for me and helped me with.

Q&A Time! #2

Hello guys! Yes, I am doing another Q&A because you all seemed to like it and I have still have more questions to answer. So instead of me blabbing on, here I go…

What is your favourite weather?

It depends on my mood really but I love it when it’s not too hot or too cold and with a slight breeze. My favourite seasons are spring and autumn.

Favourite bands?

There’s a long list! 5SOS, AC/DC, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback, Blink-182, Panic! At The Disco, Nirvana, Fall Out Boy, Puddle Of Mudd, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and many more.

Favourite YouTubers?

I’m subscribed to more than one hundred YouTubers but the ones off the top of my head are… Smosh, PewDiePie, Zoella (mostly all the British YouTubers) Tyler Oakley, BuzzFeed Video and Yellow, IISuperwomanII, The Fine Bros, LaToyaForever, Tpindell, Shaytards, BFvsGF, PrankVsPrank and a whole load more! (You should check these out because they are all really good)

Favourite food?

Everyone’s answer is normally pizza and one of mine is but it’s so hard to choose one out of all the foods in the world. I love cheeses, spaghetti bolognese, BBQ food, warm chocolate cookies and more!

If you were an animal, which one would you be?

A cat because you get to sleep a lot, people think you’re cute and you get looked after your whole life.

What would you like to learn to do? 

More pieces and songs on the piano and another language because it would be fun and I could then explore that country!

Which bad habits drive you crazy?

There aren’t that many but my two pet peeves are the sounds of when people bite their nails and when people slurp or you can hear how they chew their food. You know what sound I mean when people eat.

What’s your favourite seat on a bus?

Either the front seat or back seat next to the window, I don’t know why but I like people to be on the right of me and not the left. It might be because I’m right handed or something.

What are you most excited for?

To see what the future shall bring for me and the moments that I will experience.

How was your childhood?

It was the best, but it’s sadly gone forever.

Back To School Tips!

Hello, I am back from my holiday. I hope you didn’t miss my blogs but if you did then don’t worry now. If any of you would like to read about my holiday then please just comment letting me know. Anyway… I thought back to school tips would be appropriate for this time of the year because it’s when everyone goes back to school and I had my first day too! Hope you enjoy my tips and find them useful!

1. Starting isn’t as scary as it sounds- if you are starting high school, secondary school or any other, don’t worry about it. You probably hear all the adults assuring you that it will be alright and I don’t mean to repeat but they are right. Everyone seems to overthink about and hear other people say it’s terrible etc, but I can reassure you that I have experienced it thinking that it was going to be bad but in actually fact it wasn’t. You might think there are strict teachers, tons of homework, you’ll make no friends BUT if you stick to the teacher’s rules, get your homework done as soon as you get it and try to socialise you will be fine. A year or so, you’ll wonder why you worried in the first place.

2. Get to know the school grounds- I don’t know about any other countries in the world but I know in England when you move up to secondary school, a few weeks before the summer holidays you spend a day at your upcoming school to get used to the new school and get to know it. This is a great idea because some people worry about getting lost but by visiting your school beforehand you get to know the area. If other countries don’t do this the they should.

3. Be organised- one of the worst things is to wake up and not have enough equipment, an unpacked bag, no outfit/uniform prepared or a lost trainer. Get all you school notebooks, notepads, folders, pencils etc a few weeks before school because you’ll spend your whole summer doing something and completely forget about. As for packing your bag, getting your outfit and sports bag ready do that the night before so you can sleep the night peacefully knowing that you are prepared and ready for school.

4. The old saying- “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Although, some doctors might debate about this, having breakfast before school is especially important as you will be more alert and perform better in class. Food will keep your energy up and help you get through the long day of school.

5. Get enough sleep- teens need at least eight and a half hours of sleep each night to feel rested and to avoid sleep deprivation. Studies show that getting the right amount of sleep before a maths test were three times more likely to get a higher grade than those who stayed up all night.
