I’m going to give you some tips on how to manage stress and I hope it works for you, just remember never to take it out on anyone because it could result in an argument or something else which could cause more you stress anyway good luck!

Stress causes many health problems: headaches, high blood pressure, disrupted sleep, upset stomach, memory loss and risks of heart attacks. It can also drain your immune system which means that you are more likely to catch a disease and your body will be more prone to receiving something harmful. Tense or sore muscles, shallow breath and an increased heart rate are signs that you are too stressed out. To manage stress, you must find what is causing it and then try to get it out of the way, doing this will make you feel much more comfortable and relaxed.

Here are a few tips to help you calm down and relief the stress:

1. Stay in to recuperate- when you are stressed out, you may feel that you want to tackle all thongs at that moment all at once but that will result in even more stress and failure. Find a simple routine to follow because studies show that repetitive tasks help your brain to remember and focus.

2. Clean Yourself- now this might sound a little odd but having a nice warm bath or shower will boost your mood. The sensation of warm water triggers responses in the body and brain. Just think of your next shower/bath as a warm liquid hug.

3. Get out for good vibes- yoga and meditation helps the mid focus and it also decreases anxiety. If you aren’t into that kind of thing then you could go out for a walk, the fresh air will improve your mood and make you feel a lot better inside. Instead of texting your friend, you could go round their house or invite them round and have a good laugh, laughter releases endorphins which creates happiness.

4. Treat yourself to something yummy- you could have a cheeky chocolate bar but I would like to put it out there that I’m not trying to encourage emotional eating BUT there are treats you can keep handy that will make you happier like dark chocolate. Sense of smell is a good way to relax. Studies have shown that the scent of spearmint and lavender have proven to decrease stress. Why don’t you go out and buy a lavender scented candle or have a spearmint tea, breath in the goodness.

Life is filled with ups and downs so when the challenges do come you now know how to deal with them and comfort yourself. Make sure that you put some of these things in your day to day basis, it will improve your emotions and make these things just important as breathing because it affects your health too.

I hope you found this blog helpful and that these tips improve your health, remember to relax and take it easy. Thanks for reading xoxo
