Self Confidence

This is a very big topic, so I’m going to start off like this…

“The best way to gain self-confidence is to do what you are afraid to do.” Many people don’t have self-confidence which is really annoying because no one should ever feel that they are not good enough. You have to be able to feel comfortable in your own skin because that’s what you have been given and you should never take your body for granted. Your body is an amazing thing, you may not realise it, but it is. It’s not also about the outside, it’s about your inside, emotions and thoughts. Lots of people feel insecure about their body, looks etc but they shouldn’t because everybody and YOU, yes you are beautiful in your own unique way.

Self confidence is contagious. If one of your friends or family members are, then your more likely to gain self-confidence. You always want to be surrounded by positive people because it’ll boost your confidence and make you feel more comfortable about yourself. It could take a long time you boost your self-confidence, but their’ll be many people who will help you along the way and its an unforgettable journey. Self confidence is a great thing because it opens so many opportunities and amazing things for you to do, it can do some many great things to you. You can meet so many more people and create lots of new friendships, you’ll treasure these moments all your life. You can experience good things and bad things because some people may think you’re being cocky but they might just be jealous that you are confident in yourself and they aren’t but remember you don’t want to be to confident because there are people who will judge you for too much confidence.

Insecurity is also another reason why people aren’t confident because of there weight, looks, religions, family backgrounds  or any other reasons. There is no reason to be insecure because you are not perfect, so don’t forget. Everyone around you is probably feeling just the same as you so you could share your thoughts with close friends or any adult you trust: parents, grandparents, older siblings, school counsellor. There are also many websites that you can visit that may help or ease your mind a little. This all depends on the situation you’re in but don’t forgot EVERYONE IS EQUAL. “We live in a world where equality is important.”

Society plays a big part in why people haven’t got self-confidence. All the media nowadays pressures young people who you have to look perfect, a thin body, big boobs, big hips, lots of make up , perfect skin, hair and nails. No wonder why people aren’t confident in themselves but you shouldn’t  care because as long as you are happy, healthy and that you have great friends and a supportive, caring family then you have no need to worry. Live your life and treasure very moment because they are SO valuable, don’t waste your time on worrying about your looks because there is someone out there that gets butterflies in their tummy when they see you or when they will meet.
